Robert E. Purvey is the Founder and Lead Pastor of Full Life Church of Grand Prairie, a thriving, multi-generational faith community committed to spiritual renewal, leadership development, and community transformation. With more than two decades of impact in ministry, leadership, and strategy, Purvey is widely recognized as a visionary leader, trusted communicator, and catalyst for change in both faith-based and civic spaces.
A nationally sought after speaker, Purvey is known for his distinctive public speaking style and remarkable ability to connect across cultural, generational, and socio-economic boundaries. His voice resonates in diverse rooms whether on national platforms, in local communities, or within executive boardrooms offering both inspiration and practical strategy.
Over the last 20 years, Purvey has served as a Youth and Young Adult Pastor, Executive Pastor, mentor, community leader, and character coach throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. His leadership has consistently centered on empowering emerging leaders, developing strategic ministry models, and fostering collaboration across denominational and ethnic lines. He has received numerous accolades and is frequently called upon to offer insight and frameworks for Next Gen and leadership initiatives nationwide.
Nationally, Purvey served with distinction at Fuller Theological Seminary as Director of Partner Strategies for TENx10, a groundbreaking movement focused on activating faith in ten million young people over the next ten years. His work helped shape strategic partnerships, catalyze innovation, and equip a generation of leaders and churches with tools for sustainable impact.
He is the founder and lead strategist of Making the Connection, LLC, a leadership consulting firm specializing in organizational strategy, team development, and culture transformation. In addition to leading Full Life Church, Purvey contributes his time and expertise to several nonprofit boards, where he helps shape the future of leadership, equity, and community engagement.
Purvey holds two academic degrees from Southwestern Assemblies of God University. Yet, among his many roles, his greatest joy is being the devoted father of fraternal twins, Laila and Jaiden. He lives by the timeless principle: “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”
